There are numerous offers available to consumers to obtain gas cards with large amounts of cash.

2. Enter Contests

Many blogs and websites will give away gas cards to participants for entering.

3. Check Your Local Gas Prices

Many websites and news stations offer information about the cheapest gas station to fill up in town.

4. Fill Up at Certain Times

Purchase your gasoline during the early morning are late evening hours. When gas is cooler it becomes more dense and you receive more bang for your buck.

5. Do Not Drive Aggressive

If you drive with a hot foot and accelerate rapidly you will burn more gas. When accelerating such as from a stoplight or stop sign, take your foot off the brake briefly and then ease on the accelerator.

6. Reduce Your Weight

Having excess weight in your automobile can burn more gas. Remove anything in your car or truck that you do not need and keep it at home.

7. Properly Inflate Your Tires

You do not want to over inflate your tires, but it is good practice to have your tires filled up to the maximum normal limit.

8. Watch Your Speed Limit

If you drive too fast you can burn excess fuel. It is best practice to drive around 55 mph. However, be careful if doing this. Some police officers will ticket those who drive too slow on highways due to safety reasons.

9. Keep Up with Routine Maintenance

Make sure that your oil is changed regularly and that your vehicle is kept in good shape.  Be sure to keep an eye on your air filters.

10. Use a Credit Card

The Discover Card is a credit card that can offer you up to 5% back rebate on all of your gas purchases. If you don’t use the Discover Card, at least consider another type of credit card that offers great rewards or cash back on gas purchases.
